It’s that time of year again to celebrate our Yakima Valley hop harvest and finger licking BBQ at the 2023 Moxee Hop Festival.
Think your BBQ is the best? Are you ready to win CASH and PRIZES? Get your application in for the Heather Sliger Memorial Moxee Hop Festival BBQ Cook Off on Saturday, August 5th at Moxee City Park.
This is an incredibly significant event as we carry on the tradition in memoriam of a very special community member, Heather Sliger, who lived in, supported, volunteered and treasured our local community for many years.
Cash and prizes will be awarded in the categories of: Baked Beans, Chicken Wings, St. Louis Pork Ribs and Tri-Tip. Contestants may enter one or all four categories. (1st Place in each category earns): Trophy & Prize package. There will also be 2nd and 3rd place prizes awarded, in each category. (ONE *Best Overall Award) earns Trophy and Prize package *(To qualify for BEST OVERALL prize, you must enter ALL four categories.) BBQ Cook-off food will not be served to the public, but we encourage you to come cheer on the teams and get them excited about winning on Saturday afternoon!
