EVCEA Awards $4,000 in Scholarships


This year we are giving two scholarships to students graduating from East Valley High School. All of the applicants were outstanding young people in our community and we thank them for their efforts. The individuals who were chosen include:

TAYLOR EDWARD KLEIN

Taylor will be attending Western Washington University. Taylor has been active in sports, volunterring his time in community activities and has excelled at many Honors classes. He wants to get a degree in Business Administration and also Psychology or Counselong. "My dream is to become either a family counselor or start my own business as a psychologist.I have always enjoyed helping people." He has achieved a 3.99 grade point average while taking calculus and college English classes. Taylor's parents are Tony and Amy Klein.

KORY LEE SAUVE

Kory will be attending Washington State University. Kory Has been active in sports including volunteering for sports camps. He would like to work in the field of Sports Management. "Because of my love and interest in sports I want to pursue something I enjoy doing and could have a future career in." His long term goal is to work for a major sports team. He has achieved a 3.95 grade point average and received the President's Outstanding Excellence Award. His parents are Kevin and Brenda Sauve.

2010 SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS WILL BE AVAILABLE IN THE SPRING!

EVCEA will again be awarding two scholarships in the amount of $2,000 each.

CRITERIA:
  • East Valley High School graduating senior
  • Must have a 2.5 or above GPA and provide copy of transcripts
  • Must have a minimum attendance record of 90% and provide attendance profile
  • Must have applied and been accepted to a two year, four year, or accredited vocational or technical school
  • Scholarship must be used to further the recipient's formal education at a school mentioned above
  • Applications must be postmarked by the deadline March 31, 2009
  • Applications should be mailed to: EVCEA, P O BOX 754, Moxee, WA, 98936
